It's not perfect, but I had fun playing with this in Art Rage. I'm also still trying to do the foreshortening stuff, so I'm getting a lot of practice out of all of this. I also had the time to actually shade it, which is good. Generally I spend so much time trying to get a pose right or line art precise I run out of time for the rest, and then I have to put it aside for later. Very simple shading and highlighting, but it adds so much just to do that! Fun stuff. c:

Have you ever tried the elipse method or the projection method? They are explained in Dynamic Figure Drawing by Burne Hogarth and in some of Andrew Loomis's books probably - Figure Drawing for all its worth.
the artists manniken can be a big help as well, not forgetting a mirror and a camera.
